Edgar A. Morris, 86, of Swansea, Ill., born Friday, January 24, 1930, in Dupo, Ill., died Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Edgar retired as a maintenance mechanic for Union Electric. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Ill., and was president of Local 148 Operating Engineers Retirees Club. He was a Korean War Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie L. Morris; son, John A. "Tony" Morris; parents, William and Rose, nee Kottkamp, Morris; and brothers, Kenneth Morris and James Morris.
Surviving are his daughters, Lynne L. (Gary) Angle of French Village, Mo., and Beth (Alvin III) Fields of Belleville, Ill.; son, Timothy A. (Kim) Morris of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren, Jodi (Burt) Reynolds, Jason Angle, Katherine Ilene Morris, Emilee (fiance, Chris Smith) Fields, Alvin Fields IV, Jessica Fields and Christopher "CJ" Morris; great-grandchildren, Jacob Reynolds, Connor Reynolds, Jason Angle Jr., and Nathan Angle; sister, Edith Ingram of Greenville, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth J. Vogt, Carolyn A. Vogt, Carolyn K. Vogt and Helen Morris; brother-in-law, Leland C. Lohmann; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral: A funeral procession will leave from Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill., at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights, Ill., with Father Raymond Schultz officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
