Edward C. Starr, 86, of Cahokia, Ill., born Oct. 17, 1929, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away July 16, 2016, at St. Clare Health Care Center in Fenton, Mo.
Edward had worked as an iron worker at Granite City Steel and was a member of the Chemical Workers Local 50, Granite City, Ill. They were all quite accomplished musicians. He was a unique individual and the patriarch of his beloved family. He was dearly loved and will be missed by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jane, nee Dowell, Starr, who passed away Feb. 17, 2006; a son, Edward L. Starr; parents, James M. and Adeline N., nee Martin, Starr; brothers, James Milner Starr Jr., and Robert Starr; and a sister, Lucille Stein.
