Edwin H. Weier 90, of Germantown, Ill., born April 14, 1926, in Germantown, Ill., died Monday, July 4, 2016, in Breese, Ill.

Edwin worked Civil Service at S.A.F.B. as an electrician. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, traveling and being a "Snowbird" in Texas, and he was an all-around "Mr. Fix It Man". He was a Member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown, Ill.; the American Legion Post 325 and past- commander.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, nee Deerhake, Weier, whom he married on Sept. 22, 1955, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown, Ill., and who preceded him in death on June 5, 2014; his parents, Fred "Fritz" and Eleanor, nee Schleper, Weier; his brothers, Clarence, Alfred, Wilbert and Fred Jr. Weier; his sisters, Alice and Helen Weier; a son-in- law, Dale Peters; and a brother-in- law, George Brauer.

Surviving are his children, Susan Peters of Trenton, Ill., Linda (Jim) Woosley of Flower Mound, Texas, Steve (Jean) Weier of Belleville, Ill., Donald Weier of Wisconsin, Michael (Maureen) Weier of Greenwood, Ind.; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Weier of Muskego, Wis.; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sisters, Margaret (Joe) Rademacher of O'Fallon, Ill., Delores Brauer of Germantown, Ill., and Marie (Hank) Wesselmann of Germantown, Ill.

Memorials can be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church, or St. Boniface Cemetery and will be received at the funeral home.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday July 8, 2016, and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday July 9, 2016, at Moss Funeral Home, Germantown, Ill.

Members of the American Legion will hold services at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral: A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday July 9, 2016, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown, Ill., with Fr. James Buerster and Deacon Rich Bagby presiding. Interment with militaty honors will be at St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown, Ill.
