Elizabeth "Betty" Piatt Kunze, nee Kressly, 85, of Belleville, Ill., born Sunday, Feb. 9, 1930, in Easton, Pa., died Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, in O'Fallon, Ill.
Betty was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Belleville, Ill., for 48 years where she served on the Board of Deacons. She was a member of Presbyterian Women, Merry Mates, The Steeple, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Ainad Belles.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Piatt; second husband, Arthur D. Kunze; parents, George A. and Alice Grace, nee Leverington, Kressly; brother, George Kressly Jr.; sisters, Alice Orth and Joyce Rice; and great-grandson, Malachi Piatt.
Surviving are her children, Robert W. (Denise) Piatt Jr., of South Elgin, Ill., and Jeffrey A. (Dana) Piatt of O'Fallon, Ill.; grandchildren, Benjamin Piatt of O'Fallon, Ill., Lauryn (RJ) Klotzbach of Elgin, Ill., Carey (Scott) Adkins of O'Fallon, Ill., John (Natalie) Piatt of North Kansas City, Mo., Caleb (Amanda) Piatt of Jackson, Mo., Dylan Piatt of New York City, N.Y., and Devon Piatt of South Elgin, Ill.; great-granddaughter, Tessa Piatt; and stepdaughters, Sue Bryant and Laura Greason.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at First United Presbyterian Church Chapel in Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at First United Presbyterian Church Chapel with Rev. Rob Dyer and Rev. Dr. Blythe Kieffer officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
