Elizabeth McKinley, nee Pennington, 37, of Addieville, Ill., born Sept. 24, 1978, in Nashville, Ill., departed this life Monday, February 8, 2016.
Liz was a 1996 graduate of Okawville High School. She then attended Kaskaskia College where she earned her nursing degree. She worked as an R.N. at Heartland Hospice. She enjoyed traveling, especially to warmer destinations, and she liked listening to music. She especially loved her family and her children.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Maryann Pennington; and her maternal grandfather, Libory Stein.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Jason McKinley, whom she married on Oct. 4, 1997, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Nashville, Ill.; her two children, Jacob Harrison and Anna Catherine McKinley, all of Addieville, Ill.; her parents, Mark and Betty, nee Stein, Pennington of Okawville, Ill.; a brother, Joseph Pennington and wife Diane of Glasgow, Scotland; paternal grandfather, Robert Pennington of Centralia, Ill.; maternal grandmother, Marie Stein of Okawville, Ill.; mother-in-law, Melba June Kline and husband Klif of Coulterville, Ill.; brother-in-law, Matthew Russell McKinley of Okawville, Ill.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins as well as a host of friends.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to a fund that will be established to help with the education expenses of her children, Jacob and Anna, and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.

Visitation: A visitation celebrating the life of Elizabeth McKinley will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Campagna Funeral Home, Okawville, Ill.
In accordance with the wishes of Liz and her family, cremation was performed.
