Emily E. Fiebig, nee Kobzina, 87, of Swansea, Ill., born March 11, 1929, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Delmar Gardens South, St. Louis, Mo.
Mrs. Fiebig worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company before her marriage and taking on her favorite role as a wife and mother. Emily volunteered at the Belleville Public Library's genealogy department for 25 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, Ill.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harold W. Fiebig, whom she married Aug. 15, 1953, and who died Dec. 27, 2010; a grandson, Nick Hampton; her parents, Frank C. and Mary, nee Vasut, Kobzina; a sister, Agnes Kujawski; and a brother, Adolph Kobzina.
Surviving are her loving and devoted family; a daughter, Cheryl (Steve) Hampton of St. Louis, Mo.; two sons, Brian (Pamela Rout) Fiebig of Belleville, Ill., and Ricky Fiebig of Ballwin, Mo.; four grandchildren, Melissa Hampton, Rebecca Hampton (fiance, Alex Cain), Laci Fiebig (fiance, Jonathon Schweppe), and Sophia Italiano; a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Schweppe; and a brother, Henry Kobzina of Las Vegas, Nev.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., and from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, Ill., with Pastor Brian Downs officiating. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
