Emily Jane Nowels
With the loving support of her parents and grandparents, Emily Jane Nowels entered eternal life in the early hours of Jan. 17, 2004. Emily was born March 2, 2001, to Ross and Kristine Nowels (nee Karban) of Belleville. She was joyfully welcomed into life by her sisters, Madeleine and Lydia; her grandparents, Barbara Karban and Michael Karban of
Belleville, Guy Nowels of Webster Groves, Mo., and Lynn Martin of Warrenton, Mo., along with her step-grandparents, Jacqueline Karban and Michael Martin; her uncles, Stephen Nowels of St. Louis, Michael Karban of Collinsville, and Daniel Karban of Belleville; aunt-to-be Judy Krogstad of St. Louis; great-grandfather Elroy (Elizabeth) Rule of Millstadt; and great-grandfather Victor Karban, who preceded in death on Dec. 25, 2003. During her life, Emily was blessed with the love of many great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins and friends.
Emily was the light of our lives.
The family would like to acknowledge the efforts of the 911 operator, EMTs, and emergency personnel at St. Elizabeth's Hospital who worked heroically to resuscitate our beloved daughter.
Because the family believes Emily already shares in Jesus' eternal life, we ask that no masses be offered for her. Those who wish to remember Emily with memorials may donate to her sisters' college fund.
