Eva Jane Berry, nee Branson, 88, of Swansea, Ill., born Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1927, in Camden, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 at Sycamore Village Assisted Living in Swansea, Ill.
Eva Jane was a retired bonds clerk for Mercantile Bank. She was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville, Ill., Rob Moris Chapter 98OES (past matron), past president of Wednesday Club, Al Shiah Temple 29, Daughters of the Nile, New Life Club at St. Matthew United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Berry; parents, Floyd R. and Mary Elsie, nee Linebarier, Branson Sr.; brother, Floyd R. (Ruby) Branson Jr.; brother, William H. (Edna) Branson; sister, Mary (Ernie) Allen; brother-in-law, William (Verna Lee) Berry; and sister-in-law, Wilma (Johnny) Amsbury.
Surviving are her daughters, Janie (David) Nichlos of Lees Sumit, Mo., Cathy (Marty) Babinski of Wake Forest, N.C., Vickie (Steve) Lepold of Swansea, Ill., and Esti Gavina of Spain; grandchildren, Bryan C. Woods, Bruce C. (Crystal) Woods, Bryce C. (Sarah) Woods, Benjamin C. Woods, Jennifer (Pat) Williams, Rocky Keever, Chad Keever, Shannon Keever and Arthur R. Martin; step-grandchildren, Michael (Katy) Babinski and Beth (Ryan) Glasscock; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, with Rev. James Slone officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
