Florence E. Scott, nee Dietz, 98, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born Nov. 15, 1917 in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, May 2, 2016 at her residence.
Florence was a graduate of St. Philips Grade School and St. Teresa Academy in 1935. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, formerly Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, St. Ann's Altar Sodality and the Mother's Club. Florence was a quilter, a lector, a eucharistic minister, member of the Fairview Heights Women's Club and Our Lady of Assumption Bowling League.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roy P. Scott; her daughter, Gerianne Havey; her parents, Edward and Elizabeth, nee Kemper, Dietz; her brother, Eddie Dietz; her brother-in-law, Thomas E. Scott; and her sister-in-law, Lida May Scott.
Surviving are her sons, James Scott of St. Louis, Mo., and John Scott of Belleville, Ill.; her grandchildren, Katherine, Laura, Jacqueline, Christopher, Stephen and Mark all of Wichita, Kan.; her great-grandchildren, Myia, Cheyenne, Elliot, Evelyn and Oliver all of Wichita, Kan.; and her son-in-law, Dr. David Havey of Wichita, Kan.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: A funeral procession will leave at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 from Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Father Ray Schultz officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
