George J. Mikulcza, 94, of Fairmont City, Ill., born on June 3, 1921, in Granite City, Ill., died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at his residence.
George was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 961.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary, nee Korroly, Mikulcza; stepmother, Anne, nee Yurko, Mikulcza; brothers and sisters, Charles Mikulcza, John Mikulcza, Mike Mikulcza, Veronica Krause, and Mary Savka; and his stepbrothers and stepsisters, Frank Yurko, John Yurko, Andrew Yurko, Mary Bakos, Anne Lubak, Catherine Berneking and Barbara Feher.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Josephine, nee Egnatz, Mikulcza; children, Patricia A. Mikulcza of Fairmont City, Ill., Mary Kay (William) Talley of Maryville, Ill., and JoAnn Mikulcza of Fairmont City, Ill.; grandson, Benjamin Talley of Maryville, Ill.; and his furry companion, Sammy. George is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, Ill., with Father David Wilke officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
