Gerhard E. Rottluff, 83, of Shiloh, Ill., born Feb. 12, 1933, in Richmond, R.I., passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, Ill.
Gerhard attended Christ United Methodist Church in Fairview Heights, Ill. He loved fishing, gardening, and bowling. He was also an avid sports fan with his favorite teams being the St. Louis Cardinals and the New England Patriots.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie J., nee Renken, Rottluff; and his parents, Otto and Hildegard, nee Schraer, Rottluff.
Surviving are his son, Robert and Sandra Rottluff of Belleville, Ill.; a grandson, Jeffrey Rottluff of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Dorothy Baker and brother-in-law, Joseph Baker of Westerly, R.I.; three nephews, Steven, Paul and Michael Baker. He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews from Rhode Island.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Christ United Methodist Church, 339 Frank Scott Parkway East, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the church with Pastor Shane Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Valley Township Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
