Harold "Bud" Chorney, 95, of Waterloo, Ill., formerly of Belleville, Ill., and Winter Haven, Fla., born Nov. 13, 1920, in St. Louis, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at his home with his family at his side.
Bud was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was faithful in sharing the hope of eternal life through a personal relationship with Jesus, with strangers and friends alike. He was very active in church, a member of Waterloo Baptist Church, and a former member at Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven, Fla., and First Baptist Church in Fairview Heights, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Lillian, nee Gannon, Chorney; his loving wife of 73 years, Goldie, nee Lyerly, Chorney; and a son, Thomas Chorney.
Surviving are his son, Robert (Mary Anne) Chorney of Winter Haven, Fla.; two granddaughters, Kelley (J.P.) Kelly of Paducah, Ky., and Stephanie (Tim) Miller of Smithton, Ill.; and five great-grandchildren, Conner Kelly, Ava Kelly, Mya Kelly, Anna Miller, and Timothy Miller.
