Harvey G. Barr, Sr., 75, of Caseyville, Ill., born Nov. 10, 1940, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, June 19, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Barr was a graduate of East St. Louis Senior High School. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. Harvey worked for Kirk Electronics in Caseyville, Ill., for 35 years. He loved going to auctions and going to Beckers and Hardees for coffee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, nee Yount, Barr; his son, Byron Barr; his parents, Burt and Emma, nee Knight, Barr; and his nine brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his five children, Harvey Barr, Jr. of Harlington, Texas, Karen (Rafael) Cortez of Granite City, Ill., Christopher Barr of Granite City, Ill., Casey (Christopher Tanksley) Barr of Caseyville, Ill., Brad (Natasha) Barr of Winnsboro, La., and Crystal Barr of Gillette, Wyo.; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Patrick (Lana) Barr of Highland, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Service: A private family memorial service was held. Per Mr. Barr's wishes, he was cremated.
