James D. Willyerd Sr., 81, of O'Fallon, Ill., formerly of Jonesboro, Ill., born Aug. 31, 1934, in Jonesboro, Ill., died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in the St. Paul's Senior Community in Belleville, Ill.
James proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a supply sargeant after twenty six years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Gene and Vivian Willyerd; and a brother, George Willyerd.
Surviving are his wife, Simone Willyerd, nee Scouse; five children, James Willyerd Jr. of O'Fallon, Ill., Patricia (Eric) Williams of Collinsville, Ill., Greg Willyerd of O'Fallon, Ill., Carolyn Willyerd of Shiloh, Ill., and Louis Willyerd of Missouri; two grandchildren, Tanya Willyerd and Angie Willyerd; a great-grandchild, Bill Willyerd; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the Casper Cemetery, Anna, Ill., with Rev. Jonathan Whitley officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna, Ill. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
