Janice C. Wohlwend, nee Tate, 90, of Columbia, Ill., born Nov. 7, 1925, in Marston, Mo., passed away Dec. 24, 2015, at Garden View Care Center in Valley Park, Mo.
Janice had retired from teaching at the Waterloo, and Dupo, Ill.l, School Districts. She was a member of St. Paul U.C. of C., Columbia, Ill., and the Ladies' Home Extension.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie D. Wohlwend, whom she married on June 20, 1953, and who died Sept. 22, 2005; and her parents, Lloyd Spenser and Elsie Louise, nee Simmons, Tate.
Surviving are her daughters, Janice 'Liz' (Brian Mischel) Hopefl of Ballwin, Mo., and Melissa Wohlwend of Columbia, Ill.; along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, Ill., and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, Ill.
Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at the church with Pastor Bob Goddard officiating. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, Ill.
