Jeannine Schneider

Jeannine "Jean" Marie Schneider, 87, born June 26, 1929 in Belleville, Ill., passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 at Sycamore Village, Swansea, Ill.

Jean retired in 1991 from St. Elizabeth Hospital as an Assistant Administrator - Accountant after employment of 44 years at the hospital. Jean traveled extensively; she was artistically talented in decorating, cakes, cookies, gift wrapping and floral arranging.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Gladys, nee Snow, Schneider; brother, Bruce Schneider and a sister, Marjorie Weaver.

Surviving are her loving and devoted brother, William Schneider; a sister, Arleen Wuebbels; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Jean's memory may be made to the Cathedral of St. Peter or St. Elizabeth Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.valhallagardensandfuneralhome.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 at Cathedral of St. Peter, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 with Monsignor John T. Myler officiating. Interment will follow in Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
