Jerry Gamblin, 76, of Dupo, Ill., born March 23, 1939, in Metropolis, Ill., died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Touchette Regional Hospital, Centreville, Ill.
Jerry was a retired laborer from Local 100, and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the former Art Lee and the Country Three band. He loved to play music and collect trains.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reggie and Fannie, nee Ashby, Gamblin; three brothers, Lewis "Salty" and James Gamblin, and James "Bo" Mathis; and a sister, JoAnn Redden.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Nora Gamblin, nee Ballance; his children, Jerry Gamblin of Rosewood Heights, Ill., Debbie (Bruce) Jeffery Cahokia, Ill., and Robert (Robin) Gamblin of Cahokia, Ill.; a brother, Robert (Mary) Gamblin of Boston, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. He was dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Steven Theiss officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
