Jerry J. Poli, 74, of O'Fallon, Ill., born on July 3, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., died on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Jerry was an army veteran. He was a retired police officer of 27 years of the Elmwood Park Police Department in Elmwood Park, Ill. He also worked at Maryville University, St. Louis, Mo., as a public safety officer. Jerry and his wife were happily married for 46 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mary Poli.
He is survived by his wife, Marylu Poli; his daughter, Kimberly (Brown) Poli of O'Fallon, Ill.; his son, Anthony J. Poli of Elmhurst, Ill.; his grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Alyssa, Sidney and Mackenzie. He is also survived by his loving son-in-law, Paul Brown of O'Fallon, Ill., and daughter-in-law, Christy Poli of Elmhurst, Ill.; brother, John Poli; and a sister, Maryetta Poli.
