Joann M. Light, nee Juenger, 74, of New Athens, Ill.; born May 6, 1942 in Mascoutah, Ill.; passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Joann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a homemaker and provided childcare from her home for many years. Until recent years you would find Joann and her husband camping just about every weekend.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents - Raymond and Marie, nee Bergheger, Juenger.
Surviving are her loving husband of 51 years, James L. Light whom she married on Feb. 9, 1965 in Belton, Texas; one son, James R. (Cindy) Light of New Athens, Ill.; one daughter, Joyce (Brent) Weber of Freeburg, Ill.; grandchildren, Ryan, Amber, Rachel, Chelsea, Tiffany, Nicole, and A.J.; great-grandchildren, Miles, Rylan, Ryder, Matayla, Vaughn, Fynn, Eli, and Tayden; four sisters, Bonnie Wiegand of Waterloo, Ill., Sandy Habrock of St. Libory, Ill., Sue (Gip) Hofstetter of Dupo, Ill., and Carol (Don) Crissman of Belleville, Ill.; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Services: In keeping with Joann's wishes cremation will be held with no services.
