John "Pollock John" Baczewski, 63, of Boulder, born Oct. 27, 1952, in Collinsville, Ill., died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
John was a member of Local 268 in Collinsville, Ill. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, and spending time with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis "Lou" and Helen, nee Tutka, Baczewski.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Baczewski, nee Flach, whom he married Oct. 3, 1998, at St. Lawrence Church in Sandoval, Ill.; his children, Sara (Rob) Toth, Joe (Kris) Tutka, all of Troy, Ill., and Kim Tutka (fiance, Andy Bruhn) of Staunton, Ill.; grandchildren, Kylie, Riley, Tyler, Cody,and Cason; brothers, Stan (Judy) Baczewski of Collinsville, Ill., David (Cara) Baczewski of Missouri; sisters, Rose Ann (Charlie) Lingua of St. Louis, Mo., and Mary Kay (Paul) Tongay of Caseyville, Ill.

Services: Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at Day Macz Funeral Home, Sandoval, Ill.
Following the visitation, a gathering will be held in honor of John at Fat's, where friends and family are all invited to attend.
Per Mr. Baczewski's final wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following Monday's visitation.
