Joyce Ann Sparks Johnson, 76, of Collinsville, Ill., born April 28, 1939, in Granite City, Ill., passed away at 10:05 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Joyce graduated from Collinsville High School in 1958. She was a former bank teller for First National Bank and a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, Ill., and the former Home Makers Organization. Joyce loved painting china.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary, nee Gombkoto, Sparks.
She is survived by a son, Harry (Jeanmarie) Johnson Jr. of Collinsville, Ill.; a daughter, Jenifer (Chris) Lohmann of Collinsville, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Kelli Anne Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., and Charles Lohmann of Collinsville, Ill.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 200 North Lange, Maryville, Ill., with Father Joseph Havrilka officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ill.
