Juanita F. Thompson, 95, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., born July 24, 1920, in Beaver Creek, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Mrs. Thompson worked for 33 years at Southwestern Bell in St. Louis, Mo. She loved her family and loved to play piano and organ and enjoyed doing yard work. Juanita lived to see five generations of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Thompson, whom she married on July 8, 1936, in East St. Louis, Ill., and who died in June of 1983; her parents, Russell and Golda Norman Lawrence; a daughter, Ruthanne Tharp-Oglesby; a sister, Pearl Hill; and a grandchild, Lisa Mead.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandy (Arnie) Nagel of Jackson, Mo.; grandchildren, Tom Tharp, Scott Nagel, Susan (Joel) Allison, and Melinda (Craig) Hartmann; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral: A private graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at the Reiss Chapel at the Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill., with the Rev. Larry Patton officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
