June Rose James, nee Davis, 79, of Kennewick, Wash., passed away peacefully on April 19, 2016.
June was born on June 17, 1936, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She later moved to the United States where she met her husband, Norvell "Pete" James Jr. and together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage.
June was a resident of Kennewick since 1972 and an active member of the First United Methodist Church, as well as a volunteer at the Kennewick Senior Center. Knitting was her passion and she brightened many lives by sharing her extraordinary talent with those around her. Be it prayer shawls for cancer and hospice patients, helmet beanies for U.S. troops or beautiful blankets for newborn babies, June was always thinking of others. She was a loving mother, wife and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norvell "Pete" James Jr.; her parents, Charles William and Irene Rose, nee Cartier, Davis; and brothers, Charles L. Davis and Robert W. Davis.
Surviving are her daughter, Beverly Ann (James) Kratz and son-in-law, Jeffrey Kratz of Seattle, Wash.; grandson, Andrew Kratz of Elsah, Ill.; brother-in-law, Robert "Bert" James of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and sisters-in-law, Kay (Mike) Vargas of O'Fallon, Ill., and Linda (Marvin) Overby of Fairview Heights, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kennewick First United Methodist Church. The family invites you to sign their online tribute wall at www.muellersfuneralhomes.com.
