Loretta Edna Welton, 96, of Granite City, Ill., born April 15, 1919, in Granite City, Ill., passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at her home.
Loretta was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City, Ill. She was a proud homemaker who enjoyed taking care of family. She enjoyed playing bingo, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her loving husband, William Welton Jr., whom she married on Sept. 2, 1942, and who died Jan. 21, 1993; her parents, Stephen and Myrtle, nee Lewis, LeBarge; and two sisters.
Surviving are her three children and a dear daughter-in-law; proud grandmother to six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.

Funeral: In celebration of her life, a private family service will be held at Irwin Chapel on Madison Avenue, Granite City, Ill. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
