Lorraine G. Casey, nee Englert, 85 of Troy, Ill., formerly of Cahokia, Ill., born Oct. 13, 1930, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away at her home peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 31,2016.
Mrs. Casey worked for many years as an LPN at St. Paul's Nursing Home in Belleville, Ill., and was a long time member of Holy Family Church quilting club in Cahokia, Ill. She loved to quilt, sew, crochet and knit, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Casey was a life long St. Louis Cardinal Fan.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Thomas R Casey, whom she married April 13, 1948, and who passed away Jan. 12, 1994; her father, George Englert; her mother and stepfather, Clara Mary, nee Spitz, and Dick McCray.
Surviving are her 3 sons, Michael (Brenda) Casey of Waterloo, Ill., Dennis Casey of Fenton, Mo, and Kevin (April) Casey of Troy, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog Khloe.

Visitation: Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Lake View Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Christopher Funkhouser officiating.
