Mabel passed with grace and dignity after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a selfless woman who enjoyed gardening, cooking, and being a homemaker. Mabel was loved by all who knew her and she will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Newell Vanausdoll; her parents, Anna, nee Hiller, and Charles E. Lane; her father, William Bilyeu; and a son-in-law, Roger D. Gestes.

She leaves to cherish her memory, five daughters, Evelyn (Louis) Satchwill of Salesville, Ark., Linda (Mark) White of Jefferson City, Mo., Debbie Vanausdoll of San Antonio, Texas, Becky (Steve) Klucker of Swansea, Ill., and Margie (Todd Chiles) Gestes of Belleville, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Timothy (Beth Anne) Satchwill, Brad (Brittany) White, Lori White, Christopher (Julia) Klucker, Ryan Klucker, Sam Chiles, and Lynea Chiles; five great-grandchildren, Chloe, Anna, Ella, Sophia, and Kinsley; a sister, Fern McClanahan of Oregon; and a host of family and friends.

God saw you getting tired

and a cure was not to be

so he put his arms around you and whispered,

"Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you

and saw you pass away

and although we love you dearly

we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating

hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Mary Agne for of her TLC through the years, the staff of Hospice of Southern Illinois for our mother's care and family support, and a huge thanks to all the staff at Four Fountains for the care, love, support, and friendship over the years.

Memorials donations in Mabel's memory can be made out to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Memories and expressions of condolence may be made at www.lakewviewfuneralhm.com
