Mae Broyles, nee Olson, 97, of Belleville, Ill., born Sept. 18, 1918, in Lake Linden, Mich., died Friday, April 29, 2016, at her residence.
Mrs. Broyles was a retired seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Joe Samuel Broyles, whom she married on Oct. 11, 1952, and who died on April 4, 1991; a son, Michael Bradley; a daughter, Nancy Byland; eight brothers; and six sisters. She was the last surviving member of a family of 15 children.
Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Kathleen Ann Hinson of Bowling Green, Mo., James Patrick (Barbara) Broyles of Springfield, Mo., Diane Stella Hollaway of Belleville, Ill., and David Arthur Broyles of Belleville, Ill.; an adopted son, Bill Ponder of Belleville, Ill.; four grandchildren, Gina Graves, Doug Koch, Kelly Koch, and Christopher Rodriguez; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Fritz, Adam Koch, Ryan Mikulus, Melanie Mikulus, Samuel Mikulus, Isabell Henson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., with Cathy Knowlton, Chaplain, officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
