Marcella A. "Sally" Hohrein, 77, of Lebanon, Ill., born March 13, 1939, at St. Joseph Hospital in Highland, Ill., died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Sally was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon, Ill. She also belonged to the Highland Historical Society, several church organizations, and the Emerald Mound Grange. Sally didn't know a stranger. She was a good person with a heart of gold, helping anyone she could. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved baking and cooking; she was known for her pies. She was also a farm wife and supported her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Rosa, nee Nungesser, Kehrli; a sister, Caroling Wall; and a brother, Albert Kehrli.
Surviving are her husband, Norbert Hohrein, whom she married on April 28, 1959, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, Ill.; three daughters, Ellen (Lenny) Reinacher of Lebanon, Ill., Sara (Mike) Baer of Trenton, Ill., and Nicole Hohrein of Lebanon, Ill.; a son, Nicholas (Debbie) Hohrein of Lebanon, Ill.; five grandchildren, Jessica (Dereck) Driemeyer, Monica Reinacher, Joshua Vrell (fiancee Jen Berkemann), and Kyle and Tyler Hohrein; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Brady Driemeyer; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, Ill.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, Ill., with Rev. Fr. James Voelker officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lebanon, Ill.
