Marie Wilson Vallowe, nee Morineau, 94, of Shiloh, Ill., formerly of Freeburg, Ill., born Dec. 2, 1921, in Steven's County, Kan., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at Freeburg Care Center, with her loving family by her side.
Marie was a jewel to all who knew and loved her. Her greatest accomplishments were her family. She was a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Marie married Virgil Vallowe, the love of her life, on Nov. 30, 1941. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family the most. She was a woman of faith, and remained very active in her church, Spring Valley Baptist Church in Shiloh, Ill. She will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Virgil M. Vallowe; her grandson, Bruce Vallowe; her parents, Louis and Lois, nee Wilson, Morineau; her stepmom, Francis, nee Bess, Morineau; and her brother, Glenn Morineau.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving children, Marshall (Lucy) Vallowe of Belleville, Ill., Janice (Bill) Zavadil of Arnold, Mo., Sandra (Jim) Ott of Kalispell, Mont., and Mark (Sheila) Vallowe of Millstadt, Ill.; her sister, Alice "Rosella" Brown; two sisters-in-law, Alice Vallowe and Lovey Veath; and a number of dear grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: A memorial visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at Spring Valley Baptist Church, 522 Maple Street Shiloh, Ill.
Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at Spring Valley Baptist Church. Interment will be held privately at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill., at a later date.
