Martha Dixon Obituary
Martha O. Dixon, nee Mathis, 90, of Granite City, Ill., born Sep. 26, 1924, in Bear Spring, Tenn., passed away and 10:15 a.m. Thursday, December 25, 2014, at Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, Ill.
Martha was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dixon; a daughter, Vicky Dixon; her parents, John and Amelia, nee Beasley, Mathis; two brothers, John William and Melvin Mathis; two sisters, Madge Selph, and her twin sister Mary Dickson who passed away the same day.
Surviving are a son, Ricky Dixon of Granite City, Ill.; and a sister, Henrietta (Michael) Palmer of Montgomery, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the Lions of Illinois Foundation.
Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the funeral home, with Rev. Henry Crippen officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Ill.
