Michael R. Grueninger, 58, of Belleville, Ill., formerly of Columbia, Ill., born Nov. 23, 1957 in Red Bud, Ill., passed away March 23, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo.
Mike had served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He had been a formal ballroom dance instructor, disc jockey, mail carrier, constructed sets for Broadway plays, taught college art courses, and more recently was a Learjet interior restoration upholsterer.
Surviving are his parents, Roy A. and Ethel R., nee Peterson, Grueninger of Columbia, Ill.; his siblings, Mark Grueninger of Valmeyer, Ill., David (Tammy) Grueninger of Columbia, Ill., Daniel (Jennifer) Grueninger of Smithton, Ill., Eric Grueninger of Virginia and Chris (Nanette) Grueninger of Mooresville, N.C.; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and aunts and uncles, Erwin (Nancy) Dugan of East Carondelet, Ill., Joyce Rose of Columbia, Ill., Thomas Grueninger of Columbia, Ill., and Suzanne (Marvin) Smith of Columbia, Ill.
