Mildred Mae "Millie" Guide, nee Miller, 79, of Collinsville, Ill., born Feb. 19, 1932, in Blue Mountain, Miss., died at 1:25 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Guide worked as a registered nurse in Riverside, Calif., and as a private duty nurse in Collinsville, Ill. She was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill. Mildred was a volunteer for local community food pantries and volunteered working at nursing homes.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Leo Guide who died in July 2007; and her parents, Irwin Henry and Mae Bell, nee Taylor, Miller.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph A. Guide, whom she married in 1956 in Hernando, Miss.; children, Melody (Dennis) Roberts of Gainesville, Fla., Anthony Joseph (Jinx) Guide of Temecula, Calif., and Michael Irwin (Debra) Guide of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, Henry C. Miller of Falkner, Miss., Samuel Lee (Emma) Miller of Blue Mountain, Miss., Irwin Henry (Paulette) Miller of Blue Mountain, Miss., and James David (Johanna) Miller of Ripley, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, with Father John Beveridge officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
