1968 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
Myla L. (Hall) Rachuy Obituary
Myla Lynn Rachuy, nee Hall, 48, of Marshalltown, lost her life tragically, in a single car accident on Nov. 7, 2016.

Myla Lynn Hall was born on Feb. 2, 1968 to the proud parents Lafayette and Marcia, nee Peachey, Hall in Lebanon, Illinois. She made her childhood home in Illinois and graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

On Dec. 28, 1991 she was joined in marriage to Mark Allen Rachuy in Lebanon, Ill. The two would later move to Marshalltown and raise two children Megan and Jacob. Myla worked at Wal-Mart Pharmacy as the Pharmaceutical Manager for 16 years. In those years she grew to know everyone as a friend and absolutely loved to help and provide the utmost care for her customers.

In Myla's free time she loved to watch and play tennis with her children and husband. She was an avid reader and always kept her mind sharp with sudoku and Word Brain. She was known to be very crafty, loving to make new things and learned how to knit alongside her daughter. Myla had many loves in her life but she was devoted to her family most of all, including her furry friends Duke and Daisy.

Myla was preceded in death by her father Lafayette, father-in-law Larry Rachuy, and her grandparents.

Left to cherish her memory are her best friend of 31 and husband of 24 years, Mark; children, Megan Nichole and Jacob Allen; mother Marcia Hall; and sister Lisa (Morris) Compton and nephews Greg and Cale; and her Aunt Diane, David Lienard and cousins Nathan and Ben. She is remembered and loved by her extended families; the Rachuy's, Hanson's and Migliero's.

Visitation: A public visitation was held Nov. 10, 2016 with over 300 people attending.

Funeral: Funeral services were held the following day, Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 at the American Lutheran Church in Jesup, Iowa.
