Norma Lea Batson, nee Plott, 78, of Cahokia, Ill., born April 28, 1938, in Anna, Ill., passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Salem Township Hospital, Salem, Ill.
Mrs. Batson retired from Slay Industries of St. Louis, Mo. She was a lifelong member of Big Creek Southern Baptist Church in Anna, Ill. She was also known in her hometown area as the Avon Lady.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie "Link" Batson; her parents, William and Carrie, nee Foster, Plott; and a brother, William "Bill" Plott.
Surviving are her children, Jeffery L. Batson of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and James S. (Toni) Batson of Cahokia, Ill.; her brother, Robert Gene (Joyce) Plott of Anna, Ill.; her sister-in-law, Joan Plott of Anna, Ill.; and a granddaughter, Carrie Petroski of Cahokia, Ill. She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend to all.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Ill., and from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Big Creek Southern Baptist Church in Anna, Ill.
Funeral: Services will begin at noon Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at the church with Reverend Clifton Lingle officiating. Burial will be Big Creek Cemetery, Anna, Ill.
