Norma Jean Graebe, nee Johnson, 82, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., born Sept. 25, 1934, in Wilmington, Del., died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016 at her residence in Belleville, Ill. surrounded by her family.
Norma worked as a co-founder of Roho, Inc. She was a member of Signal Hill United Methodist Church, Belleville, Ill., PEO Chapter GM, Signal Hill School PTA, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, St. Clair County Country Club, and Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla., a former realtor, avid yachter, and world traveler, to every continent.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward William and Clara Elizabeth, nee Spratt, Johnson; a grandson, Alex Graebe; and a sister, Lorraine Schoonmaker.
Surviving are her husband, Robert H. Graebe of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; children, Dana (Otto) Roberts of Belleville, Ill., Robert W. (Karen) Graebe of Belleville, Ill., Nancy (Stephen) Faist of Key Largo, Fla., Kurt (Dana) Graebe of Swansea, Ill., and Lynda (Steve) Peyton of Belleville, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Scharringhausen, Rachel (Matt) Hill, Otto Roberts Jr., Katie Graebe, Robert M. Graebe, Chris (Brandi Hensler) Graebe, William (Serina) Faist, Charlotte Faist, Emma Faist, Patrick Graebe, Leid Graebe, Ross Peyton, Jake Peyton, and Rosalie Peyton; and three great-grandchildren, Brooke Scharringhausen, Paige Scharringhausen, and Kaya Graebe; and many nieces and nephews.
