Norman R. Blissenbach, 77, of Fults, Ill., born May 27, 1939 in Pocahontas, Ark. passed away on Oct. 16, 2016 in Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Blissenbach retired from Kroger's after 32 years as a Produce Manager. He was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers union, Local 655 and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a true family man and loved anything and everything to do with horses.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Millie M., nee Laird, Blissenbach; and a brother, Robert Blissenbach.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Jean, nee Davis, Blissenbach; a son, Michael (Rita) Blissenbach of Sesser, Ill.; a daughter, Lisa Dawn (Phil Gilmer) Joellenbeck of Fults, Ill.; two granddaughters, Katie Jean Busby and Amber KT (Jeff) Lance; a brother, David A. (Luanna) Blissenbach; as well as other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Margaret Gray-Duke officiating. Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
