Paul J. Koblitz, 91, of Columbia, Ill., born May 10, 1924, in Collinsville, Ill., passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at Parkway Manor, Marion, Ill.
Paul was a member of The First Baptist Church, Dupo, Ill., and was a retired educator from O'Fallon Township High School, O'Fallon, Ill. Paul had served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul I. and Alma, nee Leight, Koblitz; and a sister, Shirley Koblitz.
Surviving are his wife, Dolores, nee Marlen, Koblitz, whom he married Dec. 17, 1949, in Dupo, Ill.; a daughter, Cheryl (Earl) Heberer of Marion, Ill.; a granddaughter, Brynn Meaghan Heberer; and a brother, Udell Koblitz of Dupo, Ill.; along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at The First Baptist Church, Dupo, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at the church, with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
