Mrs. Pearl L. Zimmerman, 86, of Belleville, Ill., born Jan. 5, 1930, in Washington County, Ill., departed this life Monday, April 18, 2016, at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center, Nashville, Ill.
Pearl worked as an LPN at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville, Ill., for many years. She attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, where she was a past- member of the Altar Sodality. She was also a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau. Pearl enjoyed quilting, knitting, poetry and working in her garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Zimmerman, who preceded her in death on June 5, 1998; her parents, Fred Brammeier and Elizabeth, nee Shook, Meier; a brother, Chester Brammeier; and two sisters, Mary Samson, and Estelle Brammeier.
Left to mourn her passing are her two sons, Donald Wallis and his wife Kathy of Belleville, Ill., and Ronald Wallis and his wife Diane of Long Island, N.Y.; three grandchildren, David Wallis, Joseph Wallis and wife Elizabeth, and Jessica Wallis; three great-grandchildren, Josef, Yusuf and Hazim; former grandson-in-law, Ahmed Al-Rawi; and other relatives and friends.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the Parkinson Foundation, and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016, and from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at Campagna Funeral Home, Nashville, Ill.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Nashville, Ill., with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
