Perry T. Werner, 84, of Granite City, born Jan. 18, 1932 in Granite City, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
Perry was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served four years during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Estea, nee Smith, Werner; great granddaughter, Alexis; brother, Walter Werner; and sister, Hedy Droege.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Roberta Ann Werner, nee Smith, of Granite City, whom he married Aug. 7, 1955; two daughters, Beverly (Robert) Ashley of Florissant, MO and Sharon (Philip) Robertson of St. Charles, MO; one son, Norman (Theresa) Werner of Granite City, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Mindy, Chelsie, Krysten, Ashley, Eric and Jamie; eight great grandchildren, Abigail, Hunter, Larry, Wyatt, Lily, Nathan, Eric and Violet and a brother, Ed Werner of Florida.
