Rita F. Schrage, 88, of St. Rose, Ill., born June 13, 1928, in Highland, Ill., died Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at her residence.
Rita was a homemaker and previously worked at Wicks Organ Company and Breese Arrow Group Industries. She enjoyed stitching, quilting, word puzzles and playing cards. She loved to collect angels.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Altar Sodality, Daughters of Isabella, St. Rose and Breese Senior Citizens, Clinton County Farm Bureau and Catholic Holy Family Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund "EJ" Schrage, whom she married on Sept. 8, 1953, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, Ill., and who died May 18, 1993; a son, Kevin Schrage; her parents, Herman and Antonia, nee Ungrund, Drees; a brother, Victor Drees; sisters, Ceil Ciezadlo, Joann Ryndak, Louise Ribbing and Helen Drees; brothers-in-law, Vincent Schrage, Andy Schrage, Clarence Schrage, Tony Schrage and David Schrage; and sister-in-law, Casean Schrage.
Surviving are her children, Denise (Charles) Peters of Highland, Kenneth Schrage of Alton and Arnold Schrage of St. Rose; six grandchildren, Samantha and Jeremy Peters, Stephanie, Christopher, Samantha and Michael Schrage; sisters, Millie Snee of Massachusetts and Leona Moss of Highland; and sisters-in-law, Marie Isert of Highland, Bertha Kampwerth of St. Rose, Dolores Granning of Tennessee, Ruth Korte of Highland and Florence Luechtefeld of Okawville.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese, Ill. D of I will have prayers Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral: Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose, Ill., with Father Edward Schaefer officiating. Interment will be at St. Rose Cemetery.
