Robert H. Dehn, 83, of Belleville, Ill., born January 12, 1933, in Red Bud, Ill., passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, in Swansea, Ill.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He also retired from the Belleville Glass Company. He was formerly active with the Quail Club and with the IPA, Illinois Police Association. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially, hunting and fishing. He was an avid golfer and played washers and cards. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith, nee Mueller, Dehn; a grandson, Christopher Cardella; his parents, Herman and Pauline, nee Underfer, Dehn; a sister, Verna Sullivan; and dear friend, Marjorie Dehn.
Surviving are his children, Shirley Stephens of Carlyle, Ill., and Paula (John) Tarvin, and Robert H. Dehn Jr., both of Belleville, Ill.; his grandchildren, Clayton Cardella, Lisa (Nathan) Wood, Tina (Daniel) Juenger, and Mari Dehn; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
