Robert Johnson Sr.

Robert Johnson, Sr., 75, of Collinsville, Ill., born Aug. 7, 1940, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016, at his residence surrounded by family.

Robert was a 1957 Collinsville High School graduate. He retired in 1995 after working for Teamsters Local 600 in St. Louis, Mo., most of his time was working for Churchill Truck Lines. He

was a member of the Moose Lodge in Caseyville, Ill. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his tractor and cutting grass, barbecuing for family and friends, and singing karaoke.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Rose, nee Recklein, Johnson; a brother, William Johnson; three sisters, Darlene Johnson, Betty McAllister, and Dorothy Scalcione; and a step-son, Craig Naugle.

Surviving are his spouse, Juanita L., nee Lutz, Johnson, whom he married on Aug. 29, 1992; a son, Robert (Mindy) Johnson, Jr. of Red Bud, Ill.; a daughter, Brenda Adams of Knoxville, Tenn.; a step-son, Todd Naugle of Collinsville, Ill.; a step-daughter, Karen (Mark) Renaud of Caseyville, Ill.; two brothers, Richard (Juanita) Johnson of Virginia Beach, Va., and Russell Johnson of Collinsville, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home, with Rev. Jim Donahue officiating.
