Robert L. Anderson, Jr., 61, of Freeburg, Ill., born Wednesday, May 30, 1951, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at his residence in Freeburg, Ill.
Robert worked as an iron worker for Iron Workers 392, E. St. Louis, Ill. He was a member of Shiloh Eagles 545, Rock Mountain Elk Foundation, N.R.A., International Rodeo Association, and Southwest Missouri Rodeo Association.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith I., nee Harris, Anderson.
Surviving are his father, Robert L. Anderson Sr. of Millstadt, Ill.; brothers, Jeffrey Anderson of Freeburg, Ill., and Kirk Anderson of Millstadt, Ill.; nephew, Ryan Robert (Angela) Anderson; nieces, Klaire Anderson, and Morgan Anderson; great-niece, Natalie May Anderson; and great-nephew, William Jeffrey Anderson.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. David Raynaud officiating. By his request cremation was held.
