Robert Lee Williamson, 65, of Valparaiso, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016.
Robert retired from Resco Products in Hammond, Ind., as plant manager with 43 years of service, and was a member of the Parent's Club of the United States Merchant Marine Academy and Steamboatin' Society of America. He enjoyed boating, and was an expert handyman and gardener.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Helen Veronica Williamson; parents-in-law, John and Frances Dietrich; a brother-in-law, John Donald Dietrich; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Dietrich and Carol Walden.
Surviving are his wife, Judith Ann, nee Dietrich, Williamson; a son, Timothy Patrick (Guadalupe) Williamson;a daughter, Cathleen Marie Williamson; grandchildren, Timothy Patrick Williamson Jr., Robert Louis Williamson, and a grandchild expected in December; a brother, Michael Williamson of Granite City, Ill.; sisters, Donna, nee Williamson, Enzwiler of Granite City, Ill., and Maryann, nee Williamson, Jones of Washington, Mo.; and good friends, Pat and Livio Andreatta and Bunny and John Kibler.
Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave./South St., Crown Point, Ind. 46307
Funeral: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, directly at St. Helen's Catholic Church, 302 N. Madison St., Hebron, Ind., with Fr. Frank Torres officiating. Interment will take place Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ill.
