Roberta "Bobbi" Gene Kulier, nee Kesslar, 72, of of Granite City, Ill., born Jan. 1, 1944, in Springfield, Ill., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Mo.
A graduate of Odell High School and Illinois Wesleyan University, Roberta was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She worked as an English teacher at Mundelein High School, and edited textbooks for the Foresman Company. She loved reading and crossword puzzles, and enjoyed taking walks with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and June, nee Handley, Kesslar.
Surviving are her husband Michael Andrew Kulier, whom she married Sept. 23, 1967 and with whom she shared 49 years of happy marriage; and her children, Jennifer (Christopher Hebel) Kulier of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sara (Ronald) Hollmann of Vandalia, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the friends of Luke's Hospital, 232 S. Woods Mill Road, Chesterfield, Mo. 63017, the Lions Club, or donor's choice.
Services: In keeping with Roberta's wishes her remains were donated to Washington University Medical School, there will be no services.
