Rose Bux

Rose Marie Bux, 88, of New Baden, Ill., born Nov. 7, 1925, in New Baden, Ill., died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

Mrs. Bux worked for the civil service at Scott Air Force Base for 30 years. She was a member of St. George Parish and Ladies Sodality, a former trustee for St. George Parish, and was a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Belleville. Rose enjoyed dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Bux, whom she married on June 21, 1947, in New Baden and who died Oct. 7, 2011; her parents, William and Henrietta, nee Naegle, Hemann; two sisters, Virginia Kiefer and Adeline Willmann; two brothers, Robert J. "Bob" Hemann and Orville J. Hemann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Berdelle M. "Birdie" Hemann, Robert Kiefer, Eugene Willmann, John and Dolores Bux, Otto and Sylvia Bux, Margaret Kapp, Bernice and William Stacey, and Mary and Clyde Staub.

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy (Glenn) Albers of New Baden and Cheri (John) Rieger of Trenton; grandchildren, Craig (Lisa) Humphrey, Amy (Andrew) Kaelin, Jill (David) Jensen, Jay Rieger, and Sara (special friend, Jake) Rieger; great-grandchildren, Drew and Emmett Kaelin, Hayden and Maya Humphrey, and Nora and Natalie Jensen; a sister-in-law, Helen Hemann of New Baden; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Eugene Neff and Deacon John Fridley officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden, Ill.
