Rose Herbeck

Rose Marie Herbeck, nee Quirin, 82, of Columbia, Ill., born Jan. 16, 1931, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, at Columbia Rehab. and Nursing Center, Columbia, Ill.

Rose was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Herbeck, whom she married Feb. 2, 1949, in Belleville, Ill., and who died Sep. 20, 1974; her parents, Raymond and Grace, nee Siebert, Quirin; a son, Robert Herbeck, Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Ann Lambeck.

Surviving are her children, Kathy (Dean) Whitcomb of Rockford, Ill., Terry (Mary) Herbeck of Columbia, Ill., Larry (Melissa) Herbeck of Columbia, Ill., and Bonnie (Rick) Shackelford of Spring, Texas; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Herbeck of Columbus, Ga.; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline (Howard) Ramsey of Keysport, Ill.; brother, Larry (Virginia) Quirin of Belleville, Ill.; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 411 Palmer Rd., Columbia, Ill.

Funeral: A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at the church, with Father Carl Scherrer officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
