Rose Marie Ellen Cimiotta, nee Hansen, 92, of Glen Carbon, Ill., born Jan. 19, 1924, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Meridian Village, Glen Carbon, Ill.
Rose Marie was a residence at Meridian Village, Glen Carbon, Ill. She was a member of VFW Post 5691 Ladies Auxiliary, Collinsville, Ill.; a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill., and a member of St. Patrick's Church, Laurie, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis F. "Big Lou" Cimiotta; a son, Mark Cimiotta; a daughter, Rose Heckler; her parents, Walter and Mary, nee O'Malley, Hansen; and two brothers, Fred and John Hansen.
Surviving are her son and three daughters, Barbara (David) Vosse of Sarasota, Fla., Louis A "Little Lou" (Gina) Cimiotta of Troy, Ill., Mary (Robert) Masloski of Maryville, Ill., and Sally (Charles) Damm of Alton, Ill.; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon, Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at St. Patrick's Old Church, Laurie, Mo., with Fr. John Schmitz officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Laurie, Mo.
