Rose "Tootsie" Pea, nee Staub, 85, of Caseyville, Ill., born May 11, 1931, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Rose retired from the Illinois Department of Human Services as a receptionist. Her hobbies included playing bingo.
Mrs. Pea was preceded in death by her husband, John T. "Red" Pea; her infant daughter, Debbie Pea; her parents, Edmund and Alma, nee Heuser, Staub; her three sisters, Dorothy Siefert, JoAnn Heilig and Marcella Shane; and her three brothers, Bobby Staub, Sr., Harvey Staub, and Homer Staub.
Surviving are her four children, Billy J. O'Dell of Fairmont City, Ill., Roger P. (Madonna) Pea of Millstadt, Ill., Dennis H. (Debbie) Pea of Caseyville, Ill., and John T. (Lisa Anderson-Gunter) Pea II of Belleville, Ill.; her 12 grandchildren; her 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great- grandchild; and her brother, Charles Staub of Collinsville, Ill.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, in the Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Father David Wilke officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
