Roxy S. Asadorian, 86, of Florissant, Mo., formerly of Granite City, Ill., born Dec. 16, 1926 in Granite City passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in Maryland Heights, Mo.
Roxy worked at Brown Shoe Company for over 16 years. She was a member of St. Gregory Armenian Church in Granite City and was active in the women's group. In her free time she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Parooz, nee Nercessian, Asadorian; brother, Zovan Asadorian; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Asadorian and Gladys Asadorian.
She is survived by and will be missed by her brother, Higus Asadorian of Florissant, Mo.; nieces, Dana Shields and Nancy Barder; nephews, Stephen Asadorian and Richard Asadorianl and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Gregory Armenian Church, 3501 Century Drive, Granite City, Ill. 62040.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: In celebration of her life services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at the funeral home with Father Stephan Baljian officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill.
